Сравнение прилагательных

Три ступени: big — bigger — the biggest (большой — больше — самый большой).

Прилагательное	Сравнительная	Превосходная
Короткое: cheap, tall	cheaper, taller	the cheapest, the tallest
На -e: nice	nicer	the nicest
Гласная + согласная: big, hot	bigger, hotter	the biggest
На -y: happy, easy	happier, easier	the happiest
Длинное: interesting, expensive	more interesting	the most interesting
Исключения	good → better, bad → worse, far → further / farther	the best, the worst, the furthest

• Сравниваем через than: My car is older than yours.
• The перед превосходной степенью — обязательно: the best day.
• «Такой же, как» — as … as: She is as tall as her brother. «Не такой, как» — not as … as.

Короткие — -er / the -est (cheaper, the cheapest), длинные — more / the most. Good — better — the best, bad — worse — the worst. Сравнение — than, «такой же» — as … as.
